In the last year Forever Fed has served over 10,000 meals. Needless to say it’s been an amazing journey filled with some very remarkable stories along the way. Well this story is just too amazing not to share. Clay and Amber Coyle went to serve a meal this evening and that meal was canceled at the last minute. Unfortunately they didn’t discover it had been canceled until they showed up to serve it and found a note on the door. So, Clay and Amber had to decide what to do with … [Read more...] about This is Too Amazing Not to Share!
I had the privilege of meeting with a really cool couple last night over coffee. They were curious about Forever Fed and we met to discuss how their Church can get involved in what we do. Now I could have done my whole "Forever Fed Pitch" over the phone but in the last year I've learned that it's hard for folks to hear and see our sincerity and passion when we're not meeting face to face. Ministry leadership is filled with meetings and to be painfully … [Read more...] about A Matter of Perspective
Because of our busy schedule a few things around my house have not received the attention they usually get. This is my nice way of saying my back yard landscaping has been neglected! I’ve a bird feeder that hangs off my back deck and when I don’t keep up with the spillage, the growth that occurs under that birdfeeder kind of runs-a-muck! Two weeks ago I looked over my back deck railing at all the weeds and saw a sunflower plant that had not only grown under the trees and in the shade … [Read more...] about A Funny Thing Happened While I Wasn’t Looking!

It's Spring Break in Cherokee County and the weather provided us a beautiful setting for our first day of Spring Break Blitz. During the Winter Break Blitz in February we had a difficult time getting the kids to come out of their homes to play games with the Children's Ministry crew from Hillside Church but that certainly wasn't the case today!!! Jamey Pricket, Pastor of Liberty Hill Church in Canton, drove the MAC truck into the apartment complex and a few of the kids actually met him … [Read more...] about What a Beautiful Day!
Wow! It's like the perfect storm and we are calling for "All Hands on Deck" at Forever Fed! The month of April is like every other month. It has a certain number of days to get a specific amount of work done. However, the first two weeks of April brings exciting challenges to our Forever Fed schedule! Cherokee County Schools has spring break next week and Forever Fed is providing sack lunches to one neighborhood that is home to families experiencing food instability. When these kids are … [Read more...] about All Hands on Deck!
On Sunday, March 20th, Forever Fed served breakfast to Northwoods Apartments just like we always do but this meal was a real milestone for us. Why? Because every bit of the food we served was donated product right down to the grocery bags that our guests used to carry thier meals home. Last Thursday I received a note from SERV ministries stating they had bread and pastry items that had been donated to them and, in turn, SERV asked if Forever Fed wished to utilize/distribute those products to our … [Read more...] about A First for Forever Fed!

Volunteers meet in the parking lot of the Habitat Re-Store in Canton and then distribute flyers around town. This takes about one hour and it's actually pretty fun. Anytime you combine coffee, laughter, tape, and paper flyers it's a … [Read more...] about What’s Happening?
Each morning I drive my daughter to school and each morning our large dog Sparky insists on riding with us. We've a small dog named Rosie as well but she is 14 years old and as of last year she was no longer able to jump into the car. It was then I decided she should not be taking pleasure rides in the car because she is just too old. Yesterday morning my daugther and I went to get into the car and little old Rosie followed us out to the garage. Rosie can barely see through her cataracts … [Read more...] about What is a Leap of Faith?
